About the Role:
As a Junior Electrical Engineer in the renewable energy sector, you will contribute to the development and execution of projects, ensuring the highest level of technical excellence, sustainability, and innovation. You will be an integral part of our mission to accelerate the transition to clean and renewable energy sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, and renewable energy systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations to assess project requirements and constraints.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and efficient design solutions.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Support project managers in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities as required.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
Skills and Expertise:
- HNC or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., EPlan, AutoCAD, MATLAB, ETAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to professional development.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant internship or work experience in electrical engineering or related fields.
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., BS 7671, IEC, NEC).
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices and renewable energy technologies.
- Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., IET, IEEE).
