Production Technician

About the Company:
A small manufacturing company with ambitious plans to expand specialising in vacuum brazing and diffusion bonding company addressing the joining requirements of the manufacturing industry and various sectors from laboratory equipment and instruments to Big Science, Semiconductor, Nuclear and Aerospace.
About the Role:
Assist with assembly of components, usually in small batch production. You will be able to explore manufacturing various types of assemblies from different customers, working with both our development and testing department and production team to assemble and braze components in a vacuum furnace under instruction and supervision of the Production Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with general production floor duties (no heavy lifting without equipment)
- Occasional assistance with delivering sensitive assemblies to customer by van
- Assist with assembly of components, usually in small batch production
Skills and Expertise:
- At least 5 years experience in a manufacturing setting
- Familiar with reading technical drawings in CAD, STP format
- Precision with assembling components under instruction (training for each product will be provided)
- Eager to learn on the job and interest in specialising in the area of joining materials
- Vocational or academic qualifications in a technical or engineering subject
- Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, etc.)
- Clean driving licence and with at least 3 years experience required
- Familiarity with joining components by vacuum brazing and soldering an advantage
